Bradley, ME Basement Receives WaterGuard Protection
Challenge
A homeowner of Bradley, ME was living with a problem. For some time, they had water gathering on their basement floor. This water was leaking in directly through the concrete foundation. Unable to stop the leaking on their own, the homeowner needed to seek outside help to get the job done. They soon called TC Hafford Basement Systems and we were on the case.
Solution
Once the TC Hafford installation crew arrived at the home they began work on the basement right away. To stop water from leaking up through the concrete floor, we began by digging a shallow trench into the perimeter of the floor. After this was done, WaterGuard piping was laid down around the perimeter. Buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard will capture the incoming moisture before it even reaches the surface from now on. This trapped water is then guided through the floor to the sump where it will be removed from the home. The water passed to the sump enters a SuperSump sump pump we installed. This device will take in the water and pump it out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The SuperSump can move up to 2,650 gallons of water every hour.
With their new basement system in place, this homeowner will never again have a damp basement due to leaking water. The WaterGuard piping will keep this basement dry for many years to come!
