East Wakefield, ME Basement Wall Cracks Sealed

Challenge

A couple in East Wakefield, ME was having trouble with water entering their home. After a couple cracks opened up on the walls in their basement, water began entering very easily after any rainfall. To remedy this problem before it developed into water damage, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems.

Solution

Once the TC Hafford installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the basement walls right away. To seal the cracks, we used FlexiSpan seals. FlexiSpan is a three-piece structure which locks out moisture. After brushing the cracks clear of debris with a coarse brush, we applied the preliminary layer of sealant to the cracks. Over the top of this we laid a foam matting to give the FlexiSpan its flexible nature. To complete this structure, we applied a final layer of sealant over the top of the foam. Once finished, the FlexiSpan will now keep moisture out and conform to any slight shifting in the shape of the cracks.

With their new seals in place, these homeowners will no longer need to worry about moisture leaking into their basement. The FlexiSpan seals will keep this basement dry for many years to come!
