WaterGuard Piping Protects East Millinocket, ME Basement From Moisture

Challenge

A homeowner in East Millinocket, ME had been living with damp conditions in their basement for quite some time. This water was leaking in through their concrete foundation, onto the floor where it was puddling up and causing problems. Needing this moisture dealt with so that the space could be turned into a finished basement, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement systems.

Solution

Once the TC Hafford installation crew arrived at the home, they began work right away on the foundation. They started by digging a shallow trench into the perimeter of the basement floor. We then laid WaterGuard piping down within the trench, burying it beneath a fresh layer of concrete. The WaterGuard piping will capture water as it enters the foundation. To assist with this, we installed BrightWall panels around the basement. These will guide any moisture from the walls down into the WaterGuard. Now any trapped water is guided through the piping to the sump for removal.

With their new piping system in place, this homeowner can now rest assured their basement will no longer be too damp to use. The WaterGuard piping will keep this basement floor dry for many years to come!
