WaterGuard Piping Protects Hope, ME Basement Against Flooding

Challenge

A homeowner in Hope, ME had been struggling with water leaking in through their concrete foundation. Unable to stop the water coming in, the homeowner sought a solution to their water problem. They soon called TC Hafford Basement Systems to have all their worries put to rest.

Solution

Once our installation crew arrived at the home they began work right away on the waterproofing of this foundation. To prevent future water from leaking in a shallow trench was dug into the perimeter of the space and WaterGuard piping was laid down within. The WaterGuard, buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete will capture any moisture leaking in through the concrete in the future. The captured water is guided to the sump where we installed a SmartSump sump pump. This pump will take the water from the WaterGuard and force it out of the home through a PVC discharge line.

With their new automated system in place, this homeowner will no longer need to pump water out of their flooded basement. The WaterGuard piping will keep this floor dry for many years to come!
