TripleSafe Upgrade Saves East Waterboro, ME Basement From Flooding
Challenge
A homeowner in East Waterboro, ME had been having trouble with their sump. Without a pump the water gathering in their basement would often overwhelm the sump. This would lead to the sump overflowing and flooding the basement. Needing this problem solved before it developed into a more serious issue the homeowner sought a solution. They soon called our top team at TC Hafford Basement Systems to get the job done.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home they were able to head straight to the basement to begin work. To protect this home from the water building up in the sump we installed a TripleSafe sump pump. This device contains three separate pumps, each serving a purpose. The first pump handles the bulk of the water. The secondary pump will take over if the primary fails for any reason. This allows for the primary to be repaired if needed without allowing water to flood the basement. The third and final pump is a battery backup to keep the basement dry even if the home is without power. The water is forced through the pumps up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line where it is deposited onto the ground away from the home.
With their new sump pump in place, this homeowner will no longer need to worry about water flooding their basement. The TripleSafe will keep this basement water-free for many years to come!
