FlexiSpan Seal Protects Mile, ME Basement From Future Damage

Challenge

A homeowner from Milo, ME had noticed a problem beginning to start in their basement. The concrete foundation had cracked in several locations, each allowing for outside moisture to easily leak into this basement. Fearing water damage, the homeowner needed a way to stop the water. After they heard about TC Hafford Basement Systems from a friend, they gave us a call and set up their free estimate!

Solution

Once our industry leading installation crew arrived at the home, they began work on the basement right away. To keep these cracks from leaking, we needed to seal them using our FlexiSpan seal. This began with the cracks being brushed clear of debris and a preliminary layer of sealant being laid within the cracks. A foam matting was then laid over the top of this initial layer of sealant, this foam gives the FlexiSpan its flexible nature. Finally, a second layer of sealant is used to cover the foam matting, sealing the structure together. These completed FlexiSpan seals will now lock out any outside moisture that would have tried to leak through the open crack.

With their new seals in place, this homeowner no longer has to fear water damage! The FlexiSpan seals will ensure the interior of this basement will remain dry for many years to come.
