WaterGuard Piping Protects Jefferson, ME Basement From Flooding

Challenge

A struggling homeowner in Jefferson, ME was living with moisture almost constantly present in their basement. With a concrete foundation in place, and a sump within the floor, the homeowner was unsure how else they could stop this flooding. To get the job done right, they called TC Hafford Basement Systems.

Solution

Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they were able to begin work right away by digging out a trench into the perimeter of the concrete floor. This trench was then filled with a WaterGuard piping, which will capture any moisture leaking through the concrete in the future, passing this water to the sump for more efficient removal. After burying the WaterGuard beneath a fresh layer of concrete, we installed a SaniDry CX dehumidifier. This device will pull the moisture out of the air, passing it to the sump for removal as well.

With their new basement system in place, this basement will no longer be wet across the floor. The WaterGuard piping will ensure this floor remains water-free for years to come!
