Sump Pump Upgrade Saves Manchester, ME Basement From Flooding
Challenge
A homeowner in Manchester, ME had been struggling lately to keep water from overflowing their sump. Whenever rainwater would leak into the basement, it was supposed to travel out through the sump without gathering across the floor. However, the sump would often become overwhelmed and overflow, leaking water across the basement. To have this issue addressed and resolved, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems.
Solution
As soon as the TC Hafford installation crew arrived at the home, they went straight to the basement to get to work! To solve the flooding problem this homeowner was having, the sump was going to need a pump. We installed a SuperSump sump pump to take care of this. The SuperSump can move up over 2,600 gallons of water every hour. The water is carried up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. To help the SuperSump maintain a constant flow of water, even when the home is without power, we attached an UltraSump backup battery to the SuperSump. This device will give the SuperSump an 11,000 gallons lifespan if the home loses power.
With their newly upgraded sump, this homeowner will never have a flooded basement again! Even a storm strong enough to knock the power out won’t be enough to overcome the SuperSump & UltraSump combination.
