TripleSafe Sump Pump Protects Acton, ME Basement from Flooding
Challenge
A homeowner in Acton, ME had been struggling to keep their basement free of water. Without a sump pump, they would regularly need to go downstairs to help manually remove water building up across their basement floor. Tired of this manual water removal, the homeowner needed a solution. To have the space waterproofed for the future, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home, they went straight down to the basement to get started. To help the basement keep up with the influx of water during a rainstorm, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump. This pump contains, as the name suggests, three pumps. The first pump handles the bulk of the water, forcing it up and out of the home through a PVC discharge line. The second pump is a backup for when the primary either can’t handle all of the water or fails for some reason. This enables the pump to be repaired without down time. The third and final pump is a battery-operated pump which takes over if the home loses power.
With this new pump in place, this homeowner will no longer need to get involved with the water removal. This basement is now safe from flooding thanks to the TripleSafe sump pump.
