Flooding Bowdoinham, ME Basement Kept Dry With Sump Pump Upgrade
Challenge
A homeowner in Bowdoinham, ME had been struggling to keep their basement floor free of water. With only a sump in their floor, they would often need to go down to help remove the water, manually pumping it out. To automate this water-removal and keep their basement dry, this homeowner contacted the professionals; TC Hafford Basement Systems.
Solution
Once our installation crew arrived at the home they were able to begin work on the basement right away. To take care of the water collecting in the sump, we installed a SuperSump sump pump. With this upgrade, the sump of this home can now handle up to 2,650 gallons of water every hour, forcing the water out of the home through a PVC discharge line. To keep this pump activated even in the harshest storms, we attached an UltraSump backup battery. This device will enable the SuperSump to continue to operate even when the home is without power for up to 11,000 gallons worth of water pumping. This protects the home no matter the weather.
With their newly upgraded sump, this homeowner will never again need to partake in the water-removal of their basement. The SuperSump & UltraSump combination can take on nearly any storm nature can muster.
