Damp Crawlspace in Belgrade, ME Kept Dry With CleanSpace
Challenge
A couple living in Belgrade, ME had been having troubles with their crawlspace lately. Moisture that had been leaking in was beginning to cause a smell. This worried the homeowners. Seeking a way to have the space kept safe from mold growth as well as water damage, they called TC Hafford Basement Systems.
Solution
As soon as the TC Hafford installation crew arrived at the home, they were able to begin work on the space right away. To prevent future leakage into the crawlspace, we encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace liner. This is a thin sheet of plastic with tightly covers the walls and floor to completely lock moisture on the outside of the space. Now to deal with the existing moisture in the interior of the space we installed a SaniDry CX dehumidifier. This device will pull in the surrounding moist air and separate the moisture from it. The water is then removed from the home while the dried air is circulated back into the crawlspace.
With their new waterproofing products in place, these homeowners now own a dry and healthy crawlspace. Thanks to the CleanSpace and SaniDry, they will never have a damp crawlspace again!
