FlexiSpan Seals Troublesome Crack in Norway, ME Basement Wall

Challenge

A homeowner in Norway, ME had been struggling with a crack along one of their basement walls. After several failed attempts to stop water from leaking in, the homeowner needed professional assistance. To get the job done, they called TC Hafford Basement Systems.

Solution

Once the TC Hafford crew arrived at the home, they began work right away on sealing the crack. To seal this crack for good, we needed to use a product called FlexiSpan. The first step was to brush the crack clear of debris with a coarse brush. We then laid a preliminary layer of sealant into the crack, covering this over with a foam matting. Finally, a second layer of sealant was applied over the top of this structure. This completes the FlexiSpan, a seal which is impervious to water leakage, while maintaining flexibility to conform to a shifting crack thanks to the foam interior.

With this FlexiSpan in place, this basement will no longer take on moisture through the crack in the wall. This homeowner can now rest assured their water problem has been eliminated!
