SaniDry XP Dehumidifier Protects Turner, ME Basement From Mold Growth

Challenge

A homeowner in Turner, ME recently had a flood in their basement after losing power during a storm. Their sump pump was unable to keep the water out and the space took on water. Once the water was pumped out of the basement, the residual moisture in the air was a threat to cause mold problems in the basement. These could lead to health risks for the homeowner. To have the risk eliminated, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems.

Solution

Once the TC Hafford installation crew arrived at the home, they began work right away on protecting the basement from mold growth. To do this, we installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier. This device will take in the surrounding moisture filled air. The water is then pulled from this air and passed to the sump for removal from the basement. The dried air is then circulated back into the basement, forcing more damp air back to the dehumidifier; creating a cycle of moisture removal until the basement is completely dry.

With this dehumidifier in place, this homeowner can now rest assured their basement will remain dry and healthy. The SaniDry XP will ensure no mold grows inside this basement any time in the near future.
