Crawlspace Sealed with CleanSpace in South Berwick, ME
Challenge
A homeowner in South Berwick, ME had been living with a musty smell coming from their crawlspace for quite some time. This smell was being caused by moisture leaking in through the dirt surroundings. Tired of this smell, the homeowner decided it was time for action. To have the space waterproofed, they called TC Hafford Basement Systems.
Solution
Once the TC Hafford installation crew arrived at the home, they began work right away on the crawlspace. To start, the floor was grated in order to level it out, removing any debris in the way and make working within the space easier. To keep water out of the crawlspace in the future, we encapsulated the space with a CleanSpace liner. This liner is a thin plastic sheet which covers all of the walls as well as the floor. The CleanSpace completely seals out moisture, maintaining a dry crawlspace and eliminating the smell within the home.
With the upgrade to their crawlspace, this homeowner can rest assured the smell will vanish relatively soon. With the CleanSpace installed, this crawlspace will remain free of water for many years to come!
