SuperSump Keeps Dover, NH Basement Free of Water
Challenge
A homeowner in Dover, NH had been having sump problems. The sump they had in their basement wasn’t keeping up with the water like it used to. This homeowner regularly found water built up on the floor around the sump. To have this problem addressed, they called TC Hafford Basement Systems.
Solution
Once our crew arrived, they began work on the basement. To stop the build up of moisture, this sump needed more power to help keep it clear. To achieve this, we installed a SuperSump sump pump. This pump will assist with the water removal by forcing the water up and out through a PVC discharge line. This device can move up to 2,650 gallons of water every hour. This should keep the sump in this basement moving water, no matter how much is gathering in the basement.
Following the discharge line outside, our crew made two final additions. The first of these was an IceGuard pipe piece attached just outside the home. This piece has holes built into it which allow for any trapped water in the pipes to escape. This will prevent any overflows in the sump in the event of a blockage in the line. The end of the line received a LawnScape discharge point and we were done. This point is where the water exits through onto the ground a safe distance from the home.
With their new sump in place, no more water should build up on this basement floor. This homeowner can now rely on their SuperSump to keep their basement dry.
