Surry, ME - WaterGuard & SmartDrain Installation

Challenge

Wanting to put their home on the market, this homeowner in Surry was in need of quick basement waterproofing. In order to get the job done the right way, they came to TC Hafford Basement Systems for their basement repairs!

Solution

The rain water which leaked into this basement would usually come in through the concrete itself. This is extremely difficult for any typical homeowner to deal with, but TC Hafford Basement Systems has the perfect solution! We installed our WaterGuard piping system in the floor of the basement. These pipes sit just under the surface of the concrete, surrounding the floor and gathering the water passing through. This will ensure water no longer accumulates on the basement floor, maintaining a dry area for the next homeowner.

We then needed to install a couple more systems to assist the WaterGuard in maintaining the dry basement. The water is guided to a SmartDrain which we installed in the floor. This is where the water is released from the basement to the outside. Finally, we laid BrightWall tiles along the walls of the basement. These help by collecting any moisture coming in through the walls and depositing it into the WaterGuard pipes for removal. These two additions will greatly increase the effectiveness of the WaterGuard system.

Now this homeowner confidently has their home on the market. This basement should stay perfectly dry for the next homeowner as well!
