Naples, ME - WaterGuard & CleanSpace Installation
Challenge
A flooding basement or crawlspace is never a pleasant thing, but having both is just a nightmare. Thankfully for Charlie, TC Hafford Basement Systems had just the fix for his wet basement and crawlspace.
Solution
We began work on the basement first. To stop the water entering the basement, we needed to install 157 feet of WaterGuard piping around the basement, underneath the concrete floor. Sealing it underneath more cement, this piping will take in the moisture leaking through the floor, keeping it from reaching the interior. The water is then guided out of the basement through a drainage pipe. We then installed a SaniDry XP dehumidifier to take in the basement air and dry it out. This will ensure not only the floor stays dry, but so will the atmosphere.
Next, moving onto the crawlspace, any water could easily enter through the dirt floor of the space. Something needed to be done to lock out this water. We needed to apply a proper vapor barrier to keep out the moisture. To do so, we encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace Liner. This liner is made of a thin plastic, covering every surface but the ceiling. The CleanSpace liner will ensure no moisture will reach the inside of the crawlspace again.
Now Charlie no longer lives with a flooding basement or a moist crawlspace. Thanks to the WaterGuard and CleanSpace, his water problems are a thing of the past!
