Cape Elizabeth, ME - WaterGuard & SuperSump Installation
Challenge
Eider Investments of Cape Elizabeth was in the market for proper basement waterproofing. After searching for a while, the found the right company for the job, TC Hafford Basement Systems.
Solution
To prevent further moisture from finding its way inside the interior of the basement, we installed our signature WaterGuard piping underneath the perimeter of the floor. These pipes are designed to capture the moisture as it travels through the cement. This means the water is removed from the basement, before it even appears on the surface. The water collected is then sent directly to the sump to be evacuated.
To finish the waterproofing of this basement, we needed to add a pump to the sump for better water evacuation. We installed a SuperSump sump pump, which would easily take care of any water given to it. The SuperSump is capable of moving 2,650 gallons of water per hours from the basement. We then added an UltraSump backup battery to the SuperSump to keep it operating even during power outages. The UltraSump battery allows up to 11,000 gallons of water to be pumped before needing to charge.
With these systems in place and working together, there is no way the basement would flood. For Eider Investments, a wet basement was a problem of the past.
