Portland, ME - WaterGuard & SuperSump Installation
Challenge
Needing professional assistance with waterproofing her leaky basement, Nancy sought out the help she needed.
Solution
The basement required 127 feet of WaterGuard laid around the basement in order to completely surround the floor. We laid these WaterGuard pipes so that they would collect the water before it reached Nancy’s basemen interior. Our crew then installed a SuperSump sump pump so that the water coming from the WaterGuard would have a way out of the basement through the discharge line. This SuperSump also received an UltraSump backup battery attachment to keep it pumping water with or without power from the home. The last thing we installed within the basement was BrightWall wall tiles. These are plastic tiles that cover the walls of the basement in order to collect any moisture coming in through the walls, and guide it straight down into the WaterGuard to be removed.
Moving outside the basement, we appended an IceGuard to the pipe coming out from the basement. This new attachment will allow for any trapped water within the pipe to escape. This could occur from the discharge line freezing, or just having some debris clog the pipe. This project was finished off with our LawnScape; This is where the water finally exits the pipes back out into the soil.
Now Nancy can rest assured, no matter how hard it rains, her basement will stay nice and dry!
