Lisbon Falls, ME Basement Kept Dry with WaterGuard Installation
Challenge
A homeowner that lived in Lisbon Falls, ME was experiencing trouble with water entering their basement. The water was leaking in through the concrete foundation surrounding the basement. Unable to stop this moisture on their own and tired of sweeping water, the homeowner sought a solution to their problem. After they found TC Hafford Basement Systems, they called us right away to set up their free estimate. Once the homeowner reviewed the estimate, we got started on the basement!
Solution
As soon as our installation crew arrived at the home, they were able to begin work on this basement. To protect this basement against the incoming moisture, a shallow trench was dug into the perimeter of the floor. Within this trench, a WaterGuard piping system was laid, surrounding the basement. These pipes, buried beneath a fresh coat of concrete, will take in any leaking moisture, guiding it through the floor to the sump for removal before reaching the surface. Now any moisture entering this basement will exit through the sump before gathering on the floors surface.
With their new waterproofing in place, this homeowner can rest assured they will no longer need to do the water removal themselves. The WaterGuard piping will keep this basement floor dry for many years to come!
