CleanSpace Liner Protects Steep Falls, ME Crawlspace From Outside Moisture
Challenge
A homeowner in Steep Falls, ME was in need of some crawlspace waterproofing. They had been living with the damp conditions beneath their home for too long. Tired of the smell caused by the moisture, the homeowner looked for ways to remedy the problem. They soon found, and called, TC Hafford Basement Systems to get the job done!
Solution
Once our installation arrived on the scene, they went down to the crawlspace to begin work. We began by using a Spray Foam in the joists of the crawlspace ceiling to give the home some more insulation. This would help regulating temperatures within the home. We then encapsulated the crawlspace with a CleanSpace liner. This liner, made of a thin plastic, covers all of the walls as well as the floor. With the new liner in place, outside moisture will no longer be able to leak in through the crawlspace walls to cause problems for this homeowner.
With a vapor barrier in place, the moisture problem in this crawlspace will fade away without any new moisture to fuel it. The CleanSpace barrier will ensure this space remains dry for many years to come!
