Kittery, ME - WaterGuard & TripleSafe Installation
Challenge
Robert could only live with a wet basement for so long before he became fed up. After doing a little research, he finally did something about the moisture in his basement.
Solution
To stop the pesky moisture from finding its way into the basement through the cement, we buried out WaterGuard piping system under the perimeter of Roberts basement floor. These special pipes will take in the moisture, and guide it to the sump in the basement, no more moist floor! The sump then received a TripleSafe pump. This is a special device, containing three separate pumps. The primary, which handles the bulk of the water. The secondary to assist the primary if/when needed. And the third, battery backup pump for when the home is without power. No water is safe with the TripleSafe around.
Finally, we needed to install one last key piece to keep this system running smooth. On the exterior of the home, where the discharge line coming from the sump exits the basement; we attached an IceGuard pipe piece. This is a uniquely designed pipe that has openings on the sides. This is meant to protect the basement from any water backing up due to ice blockage, or other debris that may block the end of the discharge line.
Now Robert has a dry basement floor, with no need to worry about water entering. Thanks to WaterGuard and TripleSafe, his basement should remain dry for many years to come!
